Helios MOFs Are Now Available in South Korea Through USBIO
Helios Science & Technology’s metal-organic framework (MOF) portfolio is now officially available in South Korea through our local distribution partner, USBIO (어스바이오). Korean researchers, universities, and industrial R&D teams can now source UiO-66, UiO-66-NH₂, CALF-20, HKUST-1, and ZIF-8 directly through a domestic Korean channel, helping close one of the long-standing supply gaps for high-purity MOFs in the region.
Why South Korea — and why now
South Korea is one of Asia’s most R&D-intensive economies, with leading research programs in carbon capture, hydrogen storage, gas separation, and advanced catalysis. These are precisely the application areas where metal-organic frameworks are reshaping what is possible.
Demand for scientifically validated, high-surface-area MOF samples has grown rapidly across Korean academia and industry. However, international shipping, customs documentation, and 4–8 week lead times have remained major friction points for teams that need fast experimental turnaround.
Our partnership with USBIO helps remove these barriers. As an established Korean supplier of specialty chemicals and life-science reagents, USBIO provides local access, Korean-language technical support, and direct logistics for university and corporate laboratories, reducing effective lead times from weeks to days.

What is available through USBIO
Korean customers can now order the Helios MOF portfolio, including:
UiO-66 (Zr) — CAS 1072413-80-9 — known for its exceptional thermal and chemical stability
UiO-66-NH₂ — amine-functionalized UiO-66, suitable for CO₂ capture and adsorption studies
HKUST-1 (Cu-BTC / MOF-199) — widely used in gas storage, sensing, and catalysis research
ZIF-8 — suitable for separation, drug delivery, membrane, and electrochemical applications
CALF-20 — Helios’ flagship MOF material for industrial carbon capture research
Standard pack sizes start from 1 g and scale up to 25 g. Custom batch sizes and pilot quantities for scale-up studies are available upon request.
Expanding access to high-quality MOFs
South Korea is among Asia’s most innovation-dense research ecosystems. Establishing local accessibility there, supported by short lead times and Korean-language technical support, is an important step in expanding the international reach of Helios MOFs.
Korea now joins a growing list of international markets where Helios MOFs are reaching customers directly through local partners and distributors.
This expansion follows a milestone year for Helios. In 2026, the company was named Overall Top Performer in the Emerging Startup category at UNIDO’s Global Cleantech Innovation Programme, recognizing both its scientific development and commercialization trajectory in industrial carbon capture.
How to order in Korea
